We have one of the most extensive business literature collections in Powell River. If you are new to business - or a veteran - you will find reference materials that will broaden your business knowledge. Books can be signed out.

Computer Lab

Our computer lab is free for use during regular business hours (Monday thru Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm). Work on your business plan, surf the Internet, research information. It's all at your finger tips!

Video Conferencing

When you can't meet face-to-face consider communicating interactively and cost effectively across great distances with video conferencing. For you as a small business, organization or individual, it can build stronger relationships with staff, partners, suppliers, customers and potential customers. Benefit from face-to-face meetings without the time, stress and money involved with travel and it reduces our carbon foot print.

Our office is fully equipped with up-to-date video conferencing technology and this provides enhanced access to training opportunities, announcements and depositions while reducing meeting expenses, and providing an innovative way for businesses and communities to access an interactive marketplace. We have even had staff recruitments from Australia, Florida, and Northwest Territories all at a fraction of the time and expense associated with sending participants to a single meeting location.

The Small Biz Education Centre offers information seminars and workshops delivered by industry experts and designed to help you start and grow your small business. We will be offering these workshops delivered via videoconference at the Community Futures office starting again in January, 2011.
